Roya, a British-Muslim woman grieving after her mother’s death. After the funeral, she returns to a home which feels emptier than it once did, and discovers that her relationship with another woman wasn’t as concealed as she thought. Plunged into despair and burdened by things left unsaid, Roya is forced to face up to her true desires. She must also manage her relationship with her brother, who is navigating grief in his own way.
Created as part of Film London’s ‘London Calling’ slate in 2018. Partly funded by Southern Exposure Film Fund and the Genera Film Fund.
